Biography
작곡가 권정수는 서울대학교 음악대학 작곡과 작곡전공에서 전상직, 최우정을 사사하며 학사 과정을 마쳤다. 이후 독일 데트몰트 국립음대(Hochschule für Musik Detmold)에서 Mark Barden의 지도로 석사 과정을 졸업하였으며, 현재는 독일 만하임 국립음악·공연예술대학(Staatliche Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Mannheim)에서 Sidney Corbett에게 사사하며 최고연주자과정에 재학 중이다. 또한 Philipp Ludwig Stangl의 지도 아래 동 대학 작곡 및 뉴미디어 석사 과정(Masterstudiengang Komposition und Neue Medien)을 병행하고 있다.
그의 작품은 한국과 독일을 중심으로 연주되고 있으며, 다양한 현대음악 프로젝트와 협업을 이어가고 있다.
Composer Jungsu Kwon studied composition at the College of Music, Seoul National University, where he completed his bachelor's degree under Sangjick Jun and Uzong Choe. He later earned his master's degree at the Hochschule für Musik Detmold in Germany, studying with Mark Barden.
He is currently enrolled in the Konzertexamen program at the Staatliche Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Mannheim, studying with Sidney Corbett. In parallel, he is pursuing a master's degree in Composition and New Media under Philipp Ludwig Stangl at the same institution.
His works have been performed primarily in Korea and Germany, and he continues to collaborate on a range of contemporary music projects.
